We have a number of Parish Groups that meet regularly as a place for socialising as well as enjoying certain activities.
Our Table Tennis Club meets on Monday evenings in the Parish Centre Dunboyne at 7.30 pm. The club is open to players of all ages and abilities.
Following a few years absence a Parish Bowling Club is starting up again in the Parish Centre Dunboyne. The club meets on Tuesday evenings (when playing at home) and have began playing competitive fixtures with some good success so far.
Over the past few months we have had a number of very successful events that have enabled us not only to raise vital funds for the Group of Parishes but also to enjoy time together and with people in our wider communities.
PANCAKE EVENING -FRIDAY 24TH FEBRUARY
This was a great evening of fun and delicious savoury and sweet pancakes. Thank you to all who came along and especially all who provided the delicious food for us to enjoy.
RATHMOLYON TABLE QUIZ - FRIDAY 3RD MARCH
There was an excellent turn out on what was an enjoyable evening of fun and competition. Well done to all involved.
CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL
Our second ever Christmas Tree Festival, this time in Dunboyne church and parish centre proved to be a phenomenal success with great crowds attending over the weekend. The trees on display were once again superbly decorated and this year we managed to light up the outside of the church also.
People flocked to our Christmas Market and the children loved their vista to Santa's grotto. A whole host of parishioners came together to provide delicious refreshments ranging from soup lunches to scrumptious tray bakes.nA massive thank you to the wide range of parishioners who helped out in so many ways and a special thank you to the committee whose hard work and planning over many months truly pad off.
RATHMOLYON SUMMER FETE
We held our first Parish Fete in many years in Rathmolyon Hall and grounds on a very wet and wild Saturday in August. Despite the very non-summer weather a good number of people came along and everyone had a great time trying out the games and browsing over the stalls. Considering the weather a very healthy sum was added to church funds, thanks to the committee for all their hard work and we lok forward to growing on this success in the coming years.
DUNSHAUGHLIN SUMMER FAIR
Our annual fair took place in Pastoral Centre, Dunshaughlin for the first time and it proved to be a great success. There was a good turn out on the day and our raffle was well supported. Thank you to all who put in so much hard work to make the day run so well and for all who supported the event.
