PRAYER

For a church to grow and flourish prayer must be at the centre of all we do. It is important that we pray together in Sunday worship and at our prayer meetings, it is vital we pray for one another, and we must also pray for ourselves.

Our next prayer meeting takes place on Monday 3rd October at 8.00 pm in the Rectory.

A prayer for those who mourn

Lord Jesus Christ
May the tears shed in your earthly life
Be balm for all who weep,
And may the prayers of your pilgrimage
Give strength to all who suffer;
For your mercy's sake
Amen

A PRAYER FOR STRENGTH

Dear Lord, see me through these hard times. In these troubling times, I am filled with unspeakable fears. I reach out my hand to you now, And ask you to walk besides me. I cannot carry all my burdens, But I know you can, and will. Please walk beside me. Please guide me. Please strengthen me through the trials and storms and help me trust you in even the darkest hour. Stay with me Lord, and show me Your way. In your love and Holy Spirit I abide. Amen.

A PRAYER FOR PEACE

O Lord, you love justice and you establish peace on earth. We bring before you the disunity of today’s world;nthe absurd violence, and the many wars, which are breaking the courage of the peoples of the world; human greed and injustice, which breed hatred and strife. Send your Spirit and renew the face of the earth; teach us to be compassionate towards the whole human family; strengthen the will of all those who fight for justice and for peace,and give us that peace which the world cannot give. Amen.
